The Food and Nutrition Services department of LMC recognizes that nutrition is a vital ingredient to health. Our goal is to serve every person with compassion and excellent standards every time.
LMC has a Registered/Licensed Dietitian, dietary manager and the foodservices staff who are committed to providing:
Patient Meal Times
Patient meal service times are approximately 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, noontime for lunch and 5:00 p.m. for dinner. Occasionally, mealtimes may be missed or delayed due to a special test or treatment. Whenever possible, a meal will be served after completing the test or treatment.
General Patient Diet Information
We make every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your physician’s orders. Your diet may be altered to best meet your specific health concerns, and may include recommendations made by the dietitian and/or Speech Language Pathologist.

Guest Trays
A regular patient tray may be served to guests in the patient’s room for a minimal charge to be paid at the front desk. Bring your receipt to the nurses’ station for the nursing staff to call in the order. An hour or more advanced noticed is appreciated. Guests are welcome to dine with us in the LMC Cafeteria or Snack Bar.
LMC Cafeteria
We are located downstairs and are open Monday-Friday for continental breakfast service in the morning, and lunch service is from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Vending
Vending machines are available for your convenience 24 hours per day. They are located in the two waiting areas on the main floor. In addition, a soda machine is located downstairs in the LMC Cafeteria dining room.
Snack Bar/Gift Shop
Located at the front entrance, the Snack Bar/Gift Shop is directed by our volunteer auxiliary staff. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 6 p.m. all week long.
Clinical Nutrition Services
The dietitian provides comprehensive Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT) for patients at nutrition risk. Nutrition assessment, counseling, nutrition education and instruction are provided as ordered by the medical staff and/or as defined in departmental policies to meet the individual patient’s health needs. Patients discharged from the hospital may receive follow-up nutrition consultation on an outpatient basis.
Outpatient Nutrition Consultation
Physician referral is recommended. It is for individuals seeking lifestyle changes through diet and exercise. Outpatient nutrition counseling with the dietitian is available to address a variety of needs, including weight control, diabetes management, and just healthy eating.
