Logan Medical Center has been participating in a community health planning process through a grant provided by the Oklahoma Office of Rural Health and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. A steering committee of community members met four times over the last few months to help develop an Economic Impact Study of the health sector in Logan County. This report details the importance on health care in the economic development of Logan County. The committee was also instrumental in developing a current Health Services Directory. This directory offers important phone numbers and contacts for agencies across the county. A telephone survey is planned for the week of January 19. A national organization, working for the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, Consumer Logic, will conduct the telephone survey. They will call residents in Logan County and ask about 20 questions that will help determine public perception of LMC. The survey results will guide LMC on future growth for our patients.
