Logan Medical Center Announces Interim Chief Executive Officer
August 10, 2010 – GUTHRIE - On August 9 at a special meeting, the Logan Medical Center Board of Trustees took action to remove Steve Rowley as the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. QHR, the management company for LMC, is obligated to provide a CEO for the hospital. They have placed Scott Barrilleaux at LMC as the interim CEO.
”The hospital’s primary focus is patient care,” said Barrilleaux. “I’m looking forward to meeting the physicians and working with the outstanding staff at LMC. There are some new and exciting opportunities going on at LMC and I’m happy to be a part of their growth.” LMC recently signed a contract with a new radiology group and is exploring partnerships to enhance women’s health. They have also purchased a new piece of equipment that will automate the pharmacy.
Mr. Barrilleaux comes to LMC from Philadelphia, MS. He is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans with a Masters in Health Administration. His hospital experience as a Chief Executive Officer includes Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia, MS and Allen Parish Hospital in Kinder, LA. He has been in the health care field since 1995. Scott and his family will reside in Guthrie while serving as interim CEO at Logan Medical Center.
