LMC Community Involvement
- The Center for Internal Medicine and Pediatrics donates school planners to all students at Guthrie Upper Elementary and Coyle elementary schools.
- Hundreds of pedometers have been donated to Cotteral, Fogarty and Jr. High students and teachers, the YMCA and the Logan County Health Department walking programs.
- Donated new playground equipment to Fogarty school
- Participate Jr. High Health day
- Offer sports physicals for Guthrie and Crescent athletes
- Donated first aid kits to each elementary classroom in Coyle and little league baseball teams in the area
- Hand out trick-or-treat bags to every elementary school in Logan County
- Named Business of the Year for 2006 by the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce.
- Dennis Ochs, Chairman, was named a 2007 Trustee of the Year by Modern Healthcare magazine.
- Received a Certificate of Merit as a 2007 Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business from The Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Oklahoma Turning Point Council, the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Sate Department of Health.
- Host health fair that provides free health screenings to hundreds of people.
- Flu vaccine clinics seasonally
- Throughout the year, the public is invited to attend educational seminars on a variety of medical topics
Organizations that meet and use the LMC facility for their meetings: Weight Watchers, Logan County Soccer Association, Ministerial Alliance, Guthrie Literacy Program and the Logan County Task Force and United Way. |  |
